I feel so fortunate to have the ability to start my own business, and want to help others do the same. That's why I've decided to use a portion of my profits to provide microloans to low income entrepreneurs through Kiva. Four times a year, I will make a loan to a new entrepreneur. As each loan is repaid, I will reinvest the money in a new business.

I've always admired the musical abilities of Andrew McMahon of Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate. I also admire his philanthropic spirit. After he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005, he formed the Dear Jack Foundation, which raises money for cancer research. Some of the recipients of money raised by the foundation include the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and the UCLA stem cell transplant program.
Beginning in April, 2010, I will donate 10% of my profits to this wonderful organization.
Please take the time to visit both of these organizations' websites to learn more about what they do, and consider funding a microloan or making a donation of your own!
